Product Description

A two-component modified epoxy, high volume solid, high build, surface tolerant coating meeting requirements of SSPC Paint 22, designed to work in low to highly corrosive industrial and marine environments (C5). Exhibits excellent adhesion to moderately prepared surface, excel lent water and chemical resistance. Can be applied as self-sufficient coating system. Used as primer in a multi-coat coating systems.

Surface should be clean and dry prior to over-coating. If Aqua ST-03 has been exposed for long periods, fresh water washing should be conducted before application of any coatings.

Systems and Compatibility

  • Aqua ST-03 may be used as a standalone coating system, in which case, it must be applied at a thickness of 200 microns minimum.
  • Aqua ST-03 maybe over coated with AQUA SEALER, AQUA PU, AQUA PU 17-06.

Surface Preparation

All surfaces to be coated shall be dry and free from oil, grease, dust, dirt and any foreign matter that can adversely af fect adhesion of coating. Solvent cleaning as per SSPC SP 1 shall be conducted wherever necessary.

Surface shall be prepared by hand/power tool to achieve ST2 / ST3 standard of surface preparation as per ISO 8501-1. Any tightly adhering Old coating may remain on surface. For larger surface areas, abrasive blasting may be carried out to achieve Sa 2 as per ISO 8501-1.


Aqua ST-03 is supplied in 2 parts, a liquid binder (Part A) and a liquid binder (Part B). Always mix liquid (Part B) into the liquid (Part A) while stirring. 75-100 RPM mixer is recommended. Material should be screened prior to application.

Surface temperature shall always be at least 3°C above Dew Point. Do not expose the coated articles where there are chances of condensation on the surface.
