Product Description

A two-component modified epoxy, high volume solid, high build, surface tolerant aluminum filled coating meeting requirements of SSPC PS 26, designed to work in industrial and marine environments (C5). Exhibits excellent adhesion to moderately prepared surface and exc el lent chemical resistance. Can be appl ied as self-sufficient coating s y s t em. Used as primer in a multi-coat coat ing systems.

Aqua ST ALUMINIUM may be used as a standalone coating system, in which case, it must be applied at a thickness of 300 microns minimum.

SURFACE PREPARATION

All surfaces to be coated shall be dry and free from oil, grease, dust, dirt and any foreign matter that can adversely af fect adhesion of coating. Solvent cleaning as per SSPC SP1 shall be conducted wherever necessary.

RECOMMENDED SURFACE PREPARATION

Surface shall be prepared by hand/power tool to achieve ST2 / ST3 standard of surface preparation as per ISO 8501-1. Any tightly adhering Old coating may remain on surface. For larger surface areas, abrasive blasting may be carried out to achieve Sa 2 as per ISO 8501-1.

Mixing a Liquid binder

Aqua ST ALUMINIUM is supplied in 2 parts, a liquid binder (Part A) and (Part B). Always mix liquid (Part B) into the liquid (Part A) while stirring. 75-100 RPM mixer is recommended. Material should be mesh screened prior to application.

Aqua T01 – 10 - 20 %

AIRLESS SPRAY

Tip range : 0.43 - 0.53 mm at 3500 - 4000 psi tip pressure.

CONVENTIONAL SPRAY

Recommended. Do not exceed spray pressure than 4 Kg/Cm2

Air Temperature 5-50° C
Substrate Temperature 5-55° C
Relative Humidity 50% minimum, 90% maximum
Surface temperature shall always be at least 3°C above Dew Point. Do not expose the coated articles where there are chances of condensation on the surface.
